Context
A study of the participatory mapping method is a design issue from several angels. First, the approach pays special attention to collaboration and participation. Second, by considering the human centered approach, the method can understand how these community assets can be turned into opportunities for development from the end-user‘s perspective. Another key component in this project is the concept of visualizing the complexity surrounded the community resources.
The rapid development of Information Technology has created an exceptional asset of data. But the question is
how do we make sense of such information in order to make solid decisions on city planning
and resource allocation?

The audience for this research is those who are involved with or interested in the city planning especially smart city planning and sustainable community design and city resource management
and development.
This project aims to demonstrate a working prototype for a web-based community’s asset mapping application. It will focus on exploring interaction and persuasive technology design, a method centrally concerned with the way of thinking about target behaviors and how to achieve those goals by using technology for the purpose of changing people’s attitudes or behaviors.
