Envisioning Community Renewal
​Through Visual Thinking

The project introduced a visual thinking approach that helped the participants organize their ideas towards establishing a new experience economy unique to 21st century cities. This academic gaze at community's hard and soft assets revealed a number of pathways and visions for creative business growth and community renewal.

Visual Perception=Eye+Brain

Appreciating how the eye and mind come together to perceive visuals is essential for any designer. This exploration illustrates fundamentals of visual design. This collection demonstrates how the unified whole is different from the sum of the parts based on Gestalt theory of human perception of visual elements.
Towards a Learning Model for Contextual Research Methods​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

This new model is designed for those who need to learn fundamentals of contextual research methods and ethnographic fieldwork. The curriculum offers learning model that is applied-centric not theoretical centric, with more emphasis on developing capacities for collaboration and knowledge visualization methods.
My City My Spot- A Captology Design Concept

The design offers the opportunity to develop visual representations of the tangible and intangible benefits of cultural resources. Unlike the centralized model where the city is responsible for providing the data, this concept is based on an open-source model which allows people to be involved in the mapping and planning process.
